Vondelpark: Amsterdam's most famous and largest park of the city was designed and built in 1850 and today is a popular place for tourists and residents who can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, jogging and picnicking.

The Vondelpark is close to the Leidseplein and the museum area. The park is always alive with skaters, joggers and all sorts of street performers. In the summer the Vondelpark open air theater stages regular performances. There are several bars in the park, all of course with outside terrace, a very pleasant place to spend a lazy sunny afternoon.
